The Comprehensive Center for Brain Health, Department of Neurology, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine located in Boca Raton, Florida is initiating a search for an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Cognitive Division. Job Responsibilities• Strong clinical and research background in the areas of clinical-translational research in Cognitive/Memory Disorders Diseases• Clinical care of patients at the Comprehensive Center for Brain Health Clinic (Boca Medical Plaza). Two (2) half-day sessions of outpatient clinics in cognitive neurology are required.• No General Neurology clinical activity is required.• No Inpatient service is required.• Obtain data and results to prepare research grant applications to NIH and foundations• Heavy emphasis placed on the design and implementation of independent research protocols• Effort is 80% research and 20% clinical with a non-tenured full-time faculty appointment• Performing clinical-cognitive-functional-behavioral assessments, analyzing fluid, genetic, and imaging biomarkers, and testing novel pharmacologic, non-pharmacologic, and integrative interventions to investigate the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases• Clinical experience involves integration into our transdisciplinary collaborative care approach to the diagnosis and management of older adults with various neurodegenerative disordersQualifications• Requires an MD degree from a recognized accredited University (or foreign equivalent)• Cognitive/Memory disorders fellowship preferred• Board certification in Neurology strongly recommended• Eligible for Florida Medical License
