BANKING & FINANCE ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY TRANSACTIONAL LENDING FOCUS Location: New York, NY Our client, an AmLaw 150 global law firm, is seeking a talented Banking & Finance Associate Attorney to join its thriving Finance Practice in New York. This role is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious attorney who thrives in a high-performance, collaborative environment and is eager to take on substantial responsibility in complex lending transactions. Candidate ProfileJD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic recordActive Bar Admission in New York, in good standing2–4 years of substantive banking and finance experienceExperience in transactional lending, preferably leveraged lendingBackground drafting and negotiating commitment papers, term sheets, credit agreements, and security documentsExposure to direct lending or private equity sponsor-side work preferredExperience advising banks or acting as lending counsel is a plusSoft Skills: Strong drafting, analytical, communication, and organizational abilitiesProven ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Key ResponsibilitiesDraft and negotiate transactional documents, including commitment letters, term sheets, credit agreements, and security documentationSupport leveraged finance transactions for lender-side and borrower-side clientsConduct due diligence and identify legal and commercial risksProvide practical, business-focused legal guidance throughout the transaction lifecycleManage workstreams and coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teamsPartner with attorneys across related practices to execute complex financing matters Why Join Us?This is a compelling opportunity to join a distinguished finance practice group at a prestigious global law firm.
