New York, NY Senior Software Engineer at Eino
Job Description
We are hiring a Backend-leaning Full-Stack Software Engineer with strong Python expertise and the ability to contribute across the stack when needed (React/TypeScript). You'll work closely with our founding engineering team-particularly our current backend lead to take ownership of backend systems that power our digital twin engine and AI-driven pipelines.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage startup environments, learns fast, wants wide scope and impact, and sees engineering as a craft-not just a job.
What You'll Do- Own major components of our backend systems, with the goal of becoming the primary owner of the backend over time.
- Build performant, production-grade backend features in Python.
- Work with geometry, spatial data, simulation data, and large datasets.
- Contribute to frontend components in React + TypeScript when needed (light/medium complexity).
- Collaborate on data pipelines, GPU-related workflows, and LLM/AI-driven functionality.
- Work across backend, frontend, and infrastructure in true startup fashion.
- Ship fast while maintaining high engineering judgment-balancing speed, quality, and minimal viable complexity.
- Work onsite in our Williamsburg, Brooklyn office 4 days/week (5 optional).
- 5-10 years of experience preferred (exceptional 3+ years considered).
- Strong backend engineering experience with Python.
- Experience with geometric, spatial, or simulation-related data is a strong plus.
- Experience with GPU computing, LLM/agentic systems, or data-heavy pipelines is a plus.
- Comfortable contributing to frontend codebases using React + TypeScript.
- Some exposure to infrastructure (cloud, CI/CD, containers, DevOps basics) is a plus.
- Preferably holds a Computer Science degree; CE or EE also acceptable.
Bootcamp-only or non-technical degrees are not a fit for this particular role.
- Has worked at a seed-stage or Series A startup and understands startup velocity.
- Hungry, curious, and not afraid to dive into new technology-even if you've never touched it before.
- Learns fast, asks the right questions, and figures things out.
- Wants to own systems end-to-end, not just complete tickets.
- Thrives in ambiguity and builds with a product-driven mindset.
- Wants to be part of a tight, highly skilled team where engineering is central to the company.
Candidates from the following areas tend to be a strong match:
- Wireless engineering
- Software for physical infrastructure / real-world modeling
Eino is building the world's first Connectivity Digital Twin- a deeply technical, AI-driven simulation platform that models real-world environments and their connectivity layers.
We are a real AI company: not LLM-wrapper tooling, but deep tech. Our work spans geometry processing, spatial reasoning, GPU-accelerated simulation, data modeling, and agentic AI systems. Every engineer at Eino works on highly challenging problems and collaborates with a team of exceptional, experienced builders.
We are well-funded by strong investors, have real customers, and a clear roadmap to reshape how the world understands connectivity.
This is a rare opportunity for a hungry, entrepreneurial engineer to join a rocket-ship Seed/Series A startup at the ground level, help architect the core backend, and grow into the owner of critical product infrastructure.
