NewsNation Senior Line Producer The Hill with Blake Burman at Tribune Media Company

NewsNation seeks a Senior Line Producer to join the show team for its flagship daily political program The Hill. The senior line producer plays a lead role in managing creation of the shows rundown and facilitates the production process from the daily pitch meeting to the execution of the live show in the control room collaborating with editorial and production staff throughout the day. The position is based at the networks offices in New York.Duties & Responsibilities:Assists anchor and executive producer in setting shows editorial directionHelps build rundowns for regular programming as well as breaking news and special programmingCoordinates the team: segment producers associate producers editors and other staffCopy edits scripts and contentServes as a senior leader in the control roomHelps implement training and best practices for teamProvides ongoing mentoring and support to staffManage editorial relationships and collaboration with other teamsPerforms special projects and other duties as assignedRequirements & Skills:Experience producing for a national news program or producing newscasts in a top 10 marketExperience covering politics and governmentStrong news judgementQuick decision maker and creative thinkerEffective coach and mentor to staff of all experience levelsCollaborative team player who advocates for their show but find ways to elevate network reportingBachelors degree in journalism or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experienceExcellent communication skills both oral and writtenAbility to adapt to change meet deadlines prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyProficiency with ENPSFlexibility to work different shiftsSalary Range: (per experience): $Benefits: Our comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees includes but not limited to medical (with multiple plan options) dental and vision insurance paid time off a 401(k) with company matching contributionsPaid Parental leave life insurance and more.
