NewsNation Live with Connell McShane seeks a Senior Producer with live control room experience to join the growing team at News Nation. The senior producer will play a key leadership role helping to devise the editorial and booking strategy and coordinate show production for a daily news should be passionate about news and storytelling and creating compelling programming. The position is based at the networks studios in New York City.Responsibilities:Assists executive producer in setting shows editorial directionHelps build rundowns for regular programming as well as breaking news and special programmingCoordinates the team: line producers associate producers writers editors and other staffCopy edits scripts and contentServes as a senior leader in the control roomHelps implement training and best practices for teamProvides ongoing mentoring and support to staffManage editorial relationships and collaboration with other teamsActs as Executive Producer in his/her absenceOther duties as assignedAdditional Job DescriptionQualifications:Ten or more years of editorial experience in a fast-paced environment for a national news program (broadcast cable or digital)Excellent writing and copy-editing skillsSegment producing experience required line producing experience a plusStrong organizational and people skills are vitalThe successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills who brings lots of ideas to the tableBachelors degree in journalism or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experienceSalary Range: (per experience) $135000 $150000 Annualized.Benefits: Our comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees includes but not limited to medical (with multiple plan options) dental and vision insurance paid time off a 401(k) with company matching contributions Paid Parental leave life insurance and more.
