Night Custodian at The Wonderful Company

The night custodian works with other members of the cleaning or custodial team to ensure the school is a clean and safe environment in which children can learn.Heres what youll do:Facilities and Grounds: Clean and supervise the cleaning of buildings including classrooms hallways cafeteria gymnasium media center locker rooms auditoriums lobbies lounges corridors elevators stairways storage areas and other work spaces. Cleaning may include but is not limited to removing trash vacuuming mopping sweeping dusting buffing cleaning carpets washing windows scrubbing floors and ceilings and sanitizing restroomsSafety: Meet all local state and federal sanitation guidelines; conduct emergency cleanup service; responsible for securing campus grounds at all timesMaintenance: Perform minor maintenance repairs and building/facility modifications such as repairing moving or assembling furniture; repairing custodial equipment; touch-up or cover-up painting; hanging teaching aids etc. Submit maintenance requests for repairs and modification requests.Special Events: Move and arrange furniture and equipment in preparing multipurpose rooms or classrooms for special events or meetingsSpecial Events: Assist with staff or outside groups using the building for programs special events or assemblies. Perform set up and tear down of tables chairs and audiovisual equipment; assist with training users on equipment as needed; and troubleshoot equipment problems.
