Job description Position- Patient Registrar Location- 1225 Wilshire Blvd Los Angeles CA 90017 Facility-PIH Health Shift- Days Part Time 0500-1000 5x5hr 25hr/wk - no weekends Duration:- 13 weeks Start date- 12/15/2025 Pay: $22 on W2 Job details: Enables patients to secure access to care at PIH Health facilities by performing all tasks related to registration and pre-registration of outpatient and inpatient accounts. Calculates and secures patient liability including copayments co-insurance and deductibles in an efficient accurate and hospitable manner to ensure that the patient physician and hospitals needs are met. Job Requirements: HS/GED- equivalent 1 year experience in a high-volume healthcare facility or medical office setting with strong computer and customer service experience required Insurance and billing experience- Required Strong typing skills 45 and up wpm is required Drivers License; ability to travel to off-site locations (Outpatient only) Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with staff patients guarantors insurance companies and physicians Strong Computer skills and Knowledge in Word Excel and ability to maneuver through multiple screens in a timely manner LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH only) Key Skills Typing,Data Entry,Hospital Experience,Anatomy Knowledge,Clerical Experience,Ellucian,ICD Coding,ICD-10,Medical office experience,ICD-9,Medical Terminology,Epic Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
