Non Ferrous Scale Operator- Aiken at External SA Recycling

We are looking for a hard-working reliable and safety minded individual to join our team as a Nonferrous Weighmaster. The NF Weighmaster is the primary point of contact with our customers and is responsible for the accurate weighing and sorting of nonferrous metals. You will also be responsible for completing all required documentation for the receipt and payment of all materials received. This a fast-paced role that requires excellent customer service communications and coordination skills.This position may work outside in varying weather conditions and SA Recycling strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health Safety and Environmental standards.SA Recycling offers:Competitive PayEligible for Safety and Performance BonusesFull time positions with Medical Dental Vision and Life Insurance401k with a Company MatchWeekly PayReferral IncentivesCompany provided uniforms and PPEResponsibilities of a Scale Operator/Weighmaster:Responsible for accurate and courteous weighing of all nonferrous metals that are brought in by our accordance with company policies and procedures and state guidelines.Accurately sort and weigh inbound scrap materials from individual customers.Document scrap material and customer information into ticketing system.Provide customers with an accurate receipt of scrap materials delivered.Educate inform and assist customers with required documentation for acceptance of scrap materials.Completes and submit all required reports in accordance with company policies and procedures.Perform basic housekeeping duties in the scale house and customer areas to main a safe and clean environment for all.Must be able to work with the general public.Qualifications of a Scale Operator/Weighmaster:High school diploma or GED.Previous experience as a weighmaster preferred but not required.1 year of heavy customer service experience in the scrap metal or similar industry preferred.Ability to learn and identify various types of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.Bilingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus.Must pass Credit and Background checkMust pass Drug screenMust be able to operate a forkliftPLEASE NOTE: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
