North Haven High School Cheerleading Head Coach at North Haven Public Schools

North Haven High School is seeking a Head Coach for its Cheerleading Program. The responsibilities for this job include but are not limited to:Work and communicate with the North Haven Athletic Department including the athletic director and administrative assistant in all necessary capacitiesSupervise student-athletes at all times including all practices games and competitionsSupervise student-athletes during transportation to and from away games and competitionsCoordinate and direct the Varsity Competition TeamCoordinate and assist the assistant coach with the JV TeamCoordinate and direct the Spirit Team that cheers at football boys basketball and girls basketball gamesCoordinate and direct the Unified Cheerleading TeamSchedule organize prepare and implement practice sessions on a regular basis to develop the student-athletes greatest potentialDemonstrate positive characteristics and serve as a role model for student-athletesAssign all duties of assistant coaches JV coaches and volunteer coaches working under head coachs supervisionMaintain accurate inventory/record of equipment and uniforms and submit an itemized report at the end of each season to the athletic directorAssume responsibility for constant care of equipment and facilitiesCommunicate effectively with parents as it relates to student-athletes which includes having a preseason meetingThe successful candidate must possess or be working towards a Connecticut Coaching Certification (must be in place before the season begins); be CPR AED and First Aid certified before the first practice; have previous coaching and/or playing experience with the sport.
