We are proud to serve Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia with the expertise of 4700 team members and nearly 500 affiliated physicians.Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Nuclear Med Tech you will be a specialized healthcare professional vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides.Every day you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. Youll ensure appropriate patient care recognize conditions essential for successful procedures administer radiopharmaceuticals operate equipment and adhere to strict radiation safety.To be successful in this role demands current certification advanced technical expertise and an exceptional eye for detail coupled with a thorough understanding of radiation safety. Your compassionate patient care and dedication to precise imaging will be essential.Uses two patient identifiersCompares doctors order to requisition for accuracyAssesses patient for possible artifacts and takes appropriate action to prevent interference with imageCalculates prepares and administers proper patient dose and correct radiopharmaceutical according to dept. standard.Properly disposes of radioactive waste contaminated lines and spent radiopharmaceuticalsRoutinely demonstrates the ability to prioritize workload.Job RequirementsRequiredHigh School GED General Studies upon hire orHigh School Graduate General Studies upon hire andGraduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program upon hireCertified Nuclear Medicine Technologist within 90 Days andBasic Life Support - CPR upon hire Key Skills Advertisement,Fireworks,Maintenance,Contract Management,Import & Export,Android Development Employment Type : Unclear Experience: years Vacancy: 1
