We’re seeking a dedicated Intake Nurse (LPN or RN) to join a fast-paced, supportive, and tight-knit clinical team in Elkhart, IN. This role focuses on donor screenings, physicals, and eligibility assessments in a structured, consistent environment—ideal for nurses who enjoy teamwork, steady workflow, and professional growth without the physical demands of acute care.
Hours & Schedule
- Open 7 days a week
- 5x8-hour shifts
- Weekend rotation required, structured as:
- One weekend fully off
- One weekend working Saturday & Sunday
- One weekend working Saturday OR Sunday
- One additional weekend working Saturday & Sunday
- Rotation through open, mid, and close shifts
- Closed on major holidays
Position Overview
As an Intake Nurse, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring donor eligibility through accurate screenings and assessments. This position is fast-paced yet less physically demanding than traditional bedside nursing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct physical assessments and donor eligibility screenings
- Obtain height, weight, and vital signs
- Perform finger-stick testing (hematocrit and protein)
- Perform basic clinical assessment tasks
- Collaborate closely with a team of 5–8 nurses
What You Won’t Do:
- ❌ No heavy lifting
- ❌ No venipuncture required (cross-training available if interested)
- ❌ No complex medication dosage calculations
Compensation & Benefits
đź’° Pay Rates
- LPN: $29.50/hour
- RN: $31.50/hour
🎉 Sign-On Bonus: $2,500
- 2-year commitment required
- Repayment terms:
- 100% if leaving within the first year
- 50% if leaving after one year
- Bonus paid within 30 days
