Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Our unit is an intermediate unit that is a step down from our transitional care but a step above med/surg as far as patient acuityCardiac, Respiratory distress, Septic.No vents. - Mainly serve cardiac patients, also acute respiratory (no vents/but high flow ) 02 needs/new bipap, etc. then mix of any other disease process in which the physicians determine patient is too sick for floor; but not yet ICU level of care.Fast paced unit combining aspects of ED and ICU into one department--busyness of ED & critical care aspect of ICU.Requires and builds strong assessment skills and teamworkQualifications:Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.Certifications:- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.Why Mercy?From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.Join a caring, collaborative team where your voice matters.
