Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations. Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. Position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee will support the organizations strategic plan and the goals and direction of the hospital wide performance improvement plan.Provides comprehensive safe and effective evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for thepatientDemonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalatingissuesServes as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practicesDemonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab vitals signs and test values) ina timely and clinically appropriate mannerUtilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians and other providers of clinical findings performs nurse-to-nurse report atthe bedsideDignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days.
