Nurse Unit Manager ( RN / LPN ) - DSL Chesapeake at Chesapeake Health and Rehab Center

Chesapeake Health & Rehabilitation Center in Chesapeake, VA is seeking qualified Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse candidates to join our growing team as a Nurse Unit Manager.

As a Unit Manager in our healthcare center, you will be at the forefront of helping us achieve our mission of delivering Care Beyond Compare every day. The Unit Manager will oversee clinical operations of the unit that provides services to up to 35 short-stay residents and is responsible for staff supervision of nurses and CNAs, as well as interfacing with physicians, and providing clinical expertise to staff as needed. Customer service skills are important as you will interact frequently with residents and family members. Typical hours are Monday through Friday day shift, with some weekend and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered licensure as an LPN or RN in Virginia.

• 3 to 5 years experience as a nurse. 

• Nurse management experience preferred. 

• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment preferred.

• Ideal candidates will be excellent in written and verbal communication.

• Ability to work well within a team environment is essential.
