Nursing Assistant - PCU at IntelyCare

Job Title

Responsibilities

1. Under direction of the RN or LPN reinforces educational needs to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients who present with readiness to learn.
2. Assists with dietary trays and feeds patients when indicated.
3. Turns, repositions, and assists in ambulation of patients as ordered using proper body mechanics.
4. Keeps accurate records of daily patient activities and records the information as necessary.
5. Performs post-mortem care on patients following nursing procedures.
6. Knowledgeable in the growth and developmental needs of the middle adolescent through the geriatric patient.
7. Takes and records vital signs accurately.
8. The employee exhibits the ability to accurately assess and adjust interventions based upon patient age.
9. Assists with dietary needs monitoring patient intake when necessary through I&O or titration of fluids.
10. Reports and/or records any changes observed in condition or behavior of patient.

Qualifications

1. Work requires the ability to read well enough to follow specific and detailed nursing procedures, the ability to write legibly, use good English grammar, spell accurately and communicate effectively with a variety of people. This level of education is normally acquired through completion of a high school education.
2. Completion of a certified nursing assistant program or previous experience.
3. Three to twelve months as a nursing assistant is preferred.

Working Hours

Full-Time - 7A-7:30P - Works three, 12 hour shifts per week - Works every 4th weekend - Holiday rotation
