This position provides oversight of nursing leadership and staff and supports and adheres to the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Core duties and responsibilities include:Ensure clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectivesCollaborates with functional areas to provide support on operational projects such as oncology practice initiative site assessments and other special projects as assignedFacilitates the implementation and/or utilization of outcomes data and evidence-based practicesFacilitates implementation of standardized best practices within the organizationEnsures practice standards of care are consistent with community standards of careEnsures the incorporation of clinical evidence into existing and newly developed standardsStaff DevelopmentAssess staffing levels and issues patient flow current practices in the clinical settingAssists with the development of company-wide clinical competency testing and skills validation programsEnsure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics or regionMaintains effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs for the practice and/or satellites within budgetary parametersDemonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates employee staffing including vacations sick leave and overtimeKnowledge of Oncology and Hematology drugsMixing requiredInventory knowledgeIV nurse experienceProvides oversight for functions of nurse leads and supervisors as applicable.Other duties as assignedAbout the Area:Middletown and Westbrook offer the ideal blend of charm convenience and quality of life.
