The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, support, and patching of Nutanix systems, ensuring high availability and performance of the virtualized infrastructure. Installing, configuring, and maintaining Nutanix hypervisor environments to support mission applications and servicesPerforming system testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure reliability and scalabilityProviding advanced technical support for Nutanix-related issues, including incident resolution and root cause analysisApplying patches, updates, and security configurations to Nutanix systems in accordance with best practicesCollaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement virtualization solutions that meet customer needsDocumenting system configurations, processes, and procedures for operational continuityStaying current with industry trends and advancements in hypervisor technologies to recommend improvements#LI-LH1RequirementsPossess an active Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) certificationBachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or information technology related fieldThree years minimum of experience as senior systems engineer supporting a DOD program of similar size and scope ($40M-50M, 35-40 personnel)Five years minimum of hands-on professional experience as data center engineer working with SDWAN or Hyperconverged Infrastructure for program/project of similar size and scope ($40M-50M, 35-40 personnel)Five plus years of experience in systems engineering, with at least three years focused hands-on experience on virtualization technologiesHands-on experience with at least one major hypervisor platform (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Nutanix AHV)Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, including compute, storage, and networking in virtualized environmentsProficiency in system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in enterprise IT environmentsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholdersPossess IAT/IAM Level II or greater (e.g. Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.)Desired SkillsExperience with Nutanix AHV hypervisor installation, configuration, and managementFamiliarity with hybrid cloud environments and integration with Government cloud platformsKnowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Ansible) for infrastructure managementClearance InformationSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT.
