Obesity Medicine Physician at MyCareer+

We are seeking a Board-Certified Endocrinologist with strong expertise in obesity medicine metabolic health or obesity taxonomy to join our forward-thinking clinical team. This role is ideal for a physician who is passionate about transforming the way obesity and metabolic disease are diagnosed managed and understood.This is an opportunity to work on the front lines of patient health and wellness leveraging comprehensive evidence-based treatments to address the complex biological behavioral and social factors that contribute to obesity.If you are ready to bring innovation empathy and clinical excellence to a rapidly growing field we want to hear from you.What Youll DoClinical Care & LeadershipProvide compassionate individualized care for patients with obesity diabetes metabolic syndrome thyroid disorders PCOS and other endocrine conditions.Manage comprehensive obesity and weight-loss programs using both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic strategies.Oversee treatment plans including GLP-1s insulin management hormone therapy and lifestyle interventions.Perform advanced endocrine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including:Thyroid Fine Needle Aspiration BiopsyThyroid UltrasoundContinuous Glucose MonitoringInsulin Pump Initiation and ManagementBone Density TestingDynamic Endocrine Testing (e.g. ACTH stimulation dexamethasone suppression water deprivation tests)Ultrasound-Guided Ethanol Ablation of thyroid nodules/cystsRadiofrequency Ablation (RFA) for thyroid nodulesAdvanced Imaging: interpretation and collaboration in CT MRI PET scans and sestamibi scans for endocrine tumor evaluationVenous Sampling for detailed hormone analysis from specific glandsServe as the clinical expert in endocrine disorders impacting metabolic health.Consult on complex cases in partnership with primary care and specialty providers across EPIC Healths network.Program Development & InnovationPlay a central role in scaling EPIC Healths integrated Endocrinology & Obesity Medicine Program.Implement and refine protocols for obesity screening chronic disease risk assessment and long-term patient monitoring.Drive outcomes-based care including adherence to quality and value-based measures.Patient & Provider EducationEducate patients and families on the link between endocrine health weight management and long-term wellness.Train and mentor providers and staff on best practices in endocrinology and obesity medicine.Care CollaborationPartner with behavioral health nutrition and fitness professionals to design holistic patient-centered care plans.Review labs imaging and outcomes with the multidisciplinary team adjusting treatment as needed.RequirementsEducation & LicensureMD or DO from an accredited institutionBoard Certification in Endocrinology (required)Obesity Medicine experience or Obesity Medicine taxonomy strongly preferredActive and unrestricted Michigan medical licenseEligible and in good standing with Medicare and MedicaidExperiencePreferred 2 years of post-residency experience managing patients with endocrine and/or metabolic disordersDemonstrated expertise in advanced endocrine procedures (see above)Familiarity with value-based care and integrated multidisciplinary delivery modelsBenefitsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and performance-based incentivesFull benefits package: health dental vision disability and life insurance401(k) Paid vacation holidays and CME allowanceCareer growth opportunities in a rapidly scaling innovation-first healthcare systemA chance to help redefine metabolic and endocrine care in MichiganRequired Skills:-Strong expertise in both endocrine and obesity care -Excellent patient communication and advocacy skills -Collaborative approach to care in a team-based environment -Ability to thrive in a fast-paced community-focused clinical settingRequired Education:Obesity Medicine Physician Key Skills EMR Systems,Post Residency Experience,Occupational Health Experience,Pain Management,SOAP,Primary Care Experience,Medical Management,Suturing,Workers' Compensation Law,Pharmacy Residency,Botox Experience,Epic Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Monthly Salary Salary: 150000 - 150000
