ObGyn physician job in Texas : Locums to Perm Associate Medical Director (OB/GYN) | Dallas, TexasAvailability13-week locums assignment with intention to transition to permanentSchedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PMStart: ASAPNot open to: 1099, visa candidates, or providers with lapsed board certificationLicenses & Certifications MUST HAVESBoard Certification in OB/GYN (no exceptions)Texas Medical License (or willingness to obtain)Experience in Managed Care & Prior Authorization REQUIREDExperience in Utilization Management committees PREFERREDKnowledge of Texas Medicaid Regulations REQUIREDClean malpractice and license history requiredPosition SummarySeeking an experienced OB/GYN physician with strong managed care expertise to serve as Associate Medical Director.Role includes clinical oversight, utilization management, quality initiatives, and physician performance review for a major Texas health plan.Core ResponsibilitiesUtilization Management & Clinical ReviewReview prior authorizations, appeals, and medical necessity determinationsConduct peer-to-peer reviewsProvide oversight for UM, disease management, and quality programsAssist with pharmacy benefit oversight and coordinationQuality, Policy & ComplianceParticipate in developing medical policies & clinical guidelinesAnalyze data for provider profiling and performance evaluationParticipate in fraud, waste, and abuse program oversightEnsure adherence to state, federal, and accreditation regulations (TDI, HHSC, etc.)Leadership & AdministrationRepresent the organization with state/local agencies as neededLead and participate in managed care committeesOversee process improvement and workflow optimizationParticipate in annual departmental goal settingAssist with budgeting and resource planningSupervise and evaluate staff; ensure ongoing training and developmentRequired Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsSkilled in managed care principles, UM, value-based care, and population healthAbility to interpret and develop treatment plansNegotiation skills and ability to remain calm under pressureAbility to apply medical knowledge to business/operational challengesDetail-oriented, adaptable, and able to handle confidential informationNext StepRecruitWell can arrange a call with the client to discuss further.Know someone who may be a fit?
