Job Description

Location:Stevens Point, WIStevens Point offers a charming, family-friendly community located in central Wisconsin with beautiful outdoor recreational opportunities along the Wisconsin River. The city features a vibrant downtown area, excellent parks system, and is home to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, providing cultural and educational amenities.Facility:This healthcare facility is a respected hospital providing comprehensive women's health services to the Stevens Point community and surrounding areas. The facility features a 10-bed department with a Level 2 trauma designation and uses EPIC electronic health records system for seamless care coordination.Opportunity:Physician - Obstetrics and GynecologyJob Details:• Position requires on-call coverage 6-7 days per week with weekday clinic hours from 12:00pm-4:00pm Monday-Friday• Responsible for 24-hour call in addition to clinic hours• Possibility of one 8-hour clinic-only day (no call) when occasional physician is available• Patient load includes both OB and GYN patients, including annual exams and pessary patients• When on call, must answer questions from RNs, manage in-basket messages and lab results in EPIC• First assignment is December 27, 2025 (7am) to January 2, 2026 (7am) with more dates available in 2026• Typically 0-4 patient encounters per shift• Must be proficient in managing low and high-risk pregnancies• Required skills include FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), amniocentesis procedures• Must perform routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps, and make decisions for c-sections• Must handle complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions• Experience with VBAC deliveries required• Must be able to repair 3rd & 4th degree lacerations• Surgical gynecology skills required (both open and laparoscopic procedures)• Laparoscopic skills needed for tubal ligation, LOA's, and chronal tubation• Major operative skills required for ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA's• BLS certification required• Preferred skills include OB ultrasounds (Level I/II), office/minor gynecology procedures, and laser certification• Must be licensed in Wisconsin or hold IMLC• 90-day estimated credentialing timeframeCompensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
