(covering roughly 10 providers for 3 days; 1pm Friday until Monday 8am)The practice delivers more babies than any other hospital, so OB volume is high, but there is a good balance of GYN. There are plenty of GYN surgeries and the practice are now using the daVinci to do some of them. The physicians determine template set up. Most providers see between 25-28 patients a day. Between the 7 providers, there is an average of 25 OB appointments a week for each provider. GYN 40% / OB 60%; 25-28 patients 15 f-u / 30 newOB pool is shared. Patients establish with one provider and then rotate through everyone, whoever is on call delivers. There is no call stipend.Gyn patients stay with provider; OB rotationFor OR cases, physicians operate with partners as assistants. No block scheduling; 7:30 am start Doc and scrub tech if neededCall schedule is published monthly. Its usually one day a week and one weekend every 6-8 weeks.
