DescriptionIn this positionResponsibilities include assisting physicians in administering treatments physical examinations diagnostic tests and basic medical care functions with diligence accuracy and compliance with regulations. This role leads OSHA recordkeeping and ensures the staff maintain accurate and confidential medical data including employee health records medical leave of absence etc. to prepare reports and presentations in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The role supports the administration of company policies related to medical recordkeeping employee health records and medical leave of absence.This is a union-represented salaried position.Overtime may be required both during the workweek and on weekends and is scheduled and paid in compliance with contractual and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requirements.ResponsibilitiesWhat youll do...Co-develop initiatives to improve patient care by collaborating with senior clinical professionals cross-functional teams and other healthcare providers. This includes implementing infection control measures optimizing nursing workflows and leveraging data analysis to identify trends and develop effective strategies.Participate in case management meetings to reduce the impact of absenteeism related to occupational or non-occupational injuries and illnesses.Responsible for departmental OSHA recordkeepingrequirements related to medical records and ensuring that the medical staff understand the requirements of OSHA recordkeeping.Provide health services and administer surveillance evaluations to company employees recording observations assessments and treatments in accordance with company policy.Perform routine nursing tasks associated with medical screenings related to Federal regulations and company standards. Collect appropriate samples and specimens from patients and perform hearing vision and pulmonary screening following clinical protocols.Monitor patient vitals behaviors and assist in medical emergencies that may occur on company premises such as accidents injuries sudden illnesses etc. Follow established policies and procedures identify roadblocks and effectively communicate issues to the medical teams attention.Communicate health screening results and physical rehabilitation program information to patients requiring treatment.Assist with medication administration while managing medication protocols.Maintain accurate and confidential records including use of an electronic medical record system ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.Support emergency procedures preparation and adherence to infection control practices.Provide patient-centered care with empathy kindness and professionalism.Involves occasional lifting of 10 to 25 pounds frequent walking standing and sedentary work.
