The Occupational Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks on all equipment in the assigned area. The Occupational Maintenance Technician is required to work with all types of hand tools powered tools lifts welding/cutting tools fabrication tools compressors food processing equipment high voltage equipment etc.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:Perform daily weekly and monthly preventative maintenance in assigned area.Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment used in the facility.Perform repairs and equipment installation/removal in an efficient manner.Maintain good housekeeping at workstations and work areas.Respond to plant emergencies including Haz-Mat incidents equipment malfunction fires severe weather etc. as directed by supervision.Lock out / tag out certification.Complete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned work orders/requests and checklists.Special projects/duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor or manager.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position will not have supervisory responsibility.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent AND 2 years of experience in machine maintenance building maintenance preventative maintenance carpentry electrical heating and cooling systems plumbing and/or electricalBasic welding experienceAble to read and interpret technical manuals blueprints and schematicsHave or obtain tools needed to perform the above tasksOperational knowledge of common hand power and industrial toolsValid Drivers LicensePreferredExperience in pneumatics hydraulicsGeorges is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to among others individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
