The Occupational Therapist will support PreK–Kindergarten students by providing individualized and group-based therapy services that promote functional skills, independence, and participation in the school environment. This role collaborates closely with educators, families, and support staff to help students access their education and thrive academically and socially.

Position Details:

Start Date: July 6th

End Date: July 31st

Schedule: Monday to Thursday

Grade Levels: PreK–K

Location: In Person

School Year: 2025/2026

Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals and state and federal regulations.

Evaluate students’ fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills to determine therapy needs.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support student access to the educational environment.

Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom.

Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as required.

Support students’ independence in school routines, self-care tasks, and classroom participation.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.

Experience working with young children in a school or pediatric setting preferred.

Knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and school-based therapy practices.

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
