Job Description

Position Title:Occupational TherapistReports to:Building Principal and/or Department HeadPosition Responsibilities:Maintain and deliver Occupational Therapy ServicesAttendIEP meetings and complete all related paperwork in a timely fashionMonitor student progress; revise IEP according to progressEvaluate students OT skillsCommunicate with school personnel outside of the departmentCommunicate effectively with parents and other stakeholdersJob Qualifications:Attendance at departmental and school-wide meetingsRequisite licensure as defined by the DESE and SEI EndorsementExperience implementing all parts of the IEP processExcellent oral and written communication skillsA strong commitment to helping a wide variety of culturally diverse students achieve their full potentialAbility to support the development of culturally responsive programs and activities that promote student engagement family engagement community involvement and a positive school climatePHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
