Full-timeDescriptionSalary will be between $65000 $70000 per year (and based on experience in that range)Full-Time position plus insurance and time off benefitsLocated in Volusia County SchoolsEasterseals Florida is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our school-based therapy team in Volusia County Schools. This role provides quality assessments treatments training and progress monitoring while maintaining established standards for documentation and daily processes as determined by DOE contract/site and Easterseals policies.Key ResponsibilitiesComplete initial evaluation reports and CERT formsDevelop implement and schedule individualized treatment plansAttend and actively participate in IEP meetings SSTs 504 Plans and student problem-solving meetingsDocument student progress in EMR or other approved systems meeting DOE and contract/site standardsPrepare evaluations re-evaluations quarterly progress reports equipment justifications and Easterseals documentationSupervise and mentor assistant-level therapists (COTAs) approving treatment notesProvide supervision for volunteers and interns as neededParticipate in annual peer reviews of school therapy team membersQualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy (minimum requirement)Successful completion of the national examCurrent State of Florida Occupational Therapist LicenseEligible to obtain or currently possess an NPI numberPrevious pediatric or school therapy experience preferredFlexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environmentIntegrity tact and sound judgmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to meet approved driver qualifications to use personal vehicle for program-related businessEasterseals Florida has been rated a Great Place to Work (2020 - 2025) by our employees!
