This position offers valuable hands-on experience toward the development of communication, organizational and time management skills in a professional setting while supporting the department’s operations. Additionally, the role offers opportunities to network with staff while maintaining a flexible schedule that accommodates academic commitments. Upon successful completion of this work assignment, the student worker will be provided a letter of recommendation to be used for future employers, internships, portfolio and or program admission, reflective of their performance. Furthermore, the student worker may request to learn specific office and or management skills as part of their work experience with WBCE.RESPONSIBILITIES:• Provide program support, including setup and material preparation.• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory organization.• Conduct basic research and compile information as needed.• Perform other duties as assigned to support the department’s mission.Job RequirementsREQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS• Must be Federal Work Study student• Must be a currently enrolled student at Carroll Community College.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and conducting internet searches.• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS• Prior customer service or office experience is a plus but not required.HOURS NEEDEDMonday-Friday, flexible hours between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.Directions to ApplyCandidates must complete Carroll’s online application to be consideredComplete the online Student Employment ApplicationIndicate the department(s) for which you are applying.
