Job DescriptionThis recruitment is exempt from the Hiring Freeze (Administrative Order 358).ATTENTION ALASKA RESIDENTS!The Department of Labor and Workforce Development Division of Workers Compensation is recruiting for anOffice Assistant 2! No Cover Letter Required!This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 10.This position is located in Anchorage. However this position may be relocated within Alaska with necessary approvals where infrastructure allows.What You Will Be Doing:This position provides administrative/clerical assistance to the Anchorage Workers Compensation office. Responsibilities include opening and distributing the mail answering the main phone line distributing documents in our electronic file system maintaining office supplies looking up case information to assist with administrative support to attorneys medical providers hearing officers and other professionals.Our Mission Values and Culture:The Division of Workers Compensation is the agency charged with administering the Alaska Workers Compensation Act fairly and impartially to ensure the quick efficient and predictable delivery of medical and indemnity benefits to injured workers at a reasonable cost to employers and insurance carriers. Such positions require that the applicant possess a regular drivers license and be 18 years of age or older.Some position in this class may require skill in typing.
