This is an 8 hours per day 180 days per year Office Assistant II position with benefits at Kamiak High School. Anticipated start date isDecember 18 2025.Hours for this position are 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.The successful candidate will provide support with attendance data entry attendance calling and attendance tracking.Duties include daily processing of parent and student messaging daily collaboration with office staff colleagues frequent meetings with building Attendance team frequent clerical support for Community Truancy Board processing district-level attendance meetings (including invitation) and collaboration with district Attendance staff regarding BECCA petitions/WARNS assessments.Preferred Qualifications:Excel proficiency (filtering vlookup concatenate etc.) Multilingual (one or more of Spanish Russian/Ukrainian Arabic.) Experience working in/with the high school environment.Minimum Qualification: Communication skills - phone email in-person. Spreadsheet navigation. Customer Service Skills - greeting the community. Multitasking and prioritization skills. Translation software skills. Teamwork/Collaboration Skills.JOB TITLE: Office Assistant IIJOB CLASSIFICATION: Office/Accounting MACPREPORTS TO: PrincipalJOB SUMMARY:Perform a variety of clerical duties to assist students staff and parents and the general public.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Provide clerical support answer phones; respond to inquiries from staff parents students and general public; direct inquiries to appropriate personnel; schedule appointments; and assist with other duties as directed for the purpose of providing quality customer service.Process various documents and perform functions such as process mail and respond to inquiries; prepare and mail correspondence; responsible for a variety of information record keeping i.e. fiscal and/or student records; document filing tracking information data entry etc.May assist with student health needs.May serve as a designated first aid provider.May assist with supervision and monitoring of students.Word process type copy collate sort file and distribute documents to support the efficient operation of school office services.Prioritize and organize tasks for the purpose of meeting deadlines accessibility of information and completing job duties in a timely manner.Comply with District Policies.Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor(s) for the purpose of maintaining an organized and efficient environment.JOB REQUIREMENTS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSSkills Knowledge and Abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job.Skill and ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all individuals in a professional and courteous manner.Skill and ability to follow and give written and verbal instructions.Ability to exercise discretion and maintain trust and confidentiality.Ability to develop positive amenable relationships with staff students and public.Skill in effective organization and efficiency.Skill in accuracy and attention to detail.Knowledge and ability to successfully use basic math and write routine documents using correct spelling grammar and punctuation.Skill and ability with operating office equipment which may include: telephone computer typewriter calculator copier laminator and media equipment.Knowledge of and ability to use various software programs related to job responsibilities.Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions.Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.Education/Training:High school diploma or its equivalentWord process with accuracy at 50 w.p.m.Vocational or technical clerical training preferredCurrent First Aid/CPR Certification (Required for Designated First Aid Providers)Experience:One (1) year of applicable office or clerical experience.
