We are looking for an Office Manager / HR & Payroll Administrator to join our growing team. This is a key operational role that sits at the intersection of human resources, payroll, and daily office management. You'll support a fast-paced construction environment, keeping the back office running smoothly while being a trusted resource for both field and office staff. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a trade or field-based business.

Position Summary
We are looking for an Office Manager / HR & Payroll Administrator to join our growing team. This is a key operational role that sits at the intersection of human resources, payroll, and daily office management. You'll support a fast-paced construction environment, keeping the back office running smoothly while being a trusted resource for both field and office staff. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a trade or field-based business.
Human Resources
- Manage full-cycle employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintain employee records and HRIS systems
- Administer employee benefits including enrollments, changes, and renewals
- Serve as primary contact for employee relations questions and support
- Assist with performance management and disciplinary documentation
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and construction industry regulations
- Maintain company policies, employee handbook, and HR procedures
- Coordinate training, certifications, and safety compliance documentation
- Support recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination
Payroll & Compensation
- Process weekly payroll for field and office employees
- Track and verify timecards, job costing codes, and overtime compliance
- Manage payroll deductions including benefits, garnishments, and taxes
- Coordinate with accounting regarding labor cost reporting and reconciliation
- Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality and compliance
- Assist with year-end payroll reporting including W-2 preparation and audits
Office Administration
- Oversee daily office operations and administrative processes
- Manage office supplies, vendors, and service contracts
- Support project teams with administrative needs
- Maintain company licenses, registrations, and insurance documentation
- Assist leadership with reporting, scheduling, and internal communications
- Coordinate company meetings, events, and training sessions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in HR, payroll, office management, or related role
- Experience working in construction, trades, or similar field environment preferred
- Proficiency in payroll and HR software systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- High attention to detail and confidentiality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with regular interaction with field personnel
- Fast-paced environment supporting multiple active construction projects
