Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOil Bay Technician / Apprentice – Toyota HattiesburgAPPLY IN PERSON - DO NOT CALL.Looking to add an expierienced person to Lube Technician team. This person needs to be able to complete tasks that are listed on a ticket for each vehicle and maintain a clean work environment.Must be able to work with others, come to work on time, follow directions, and care about the quality of their work. Seeking an experienced person proficent at changing oil, rotating tires, and identifying basic vehicle needs. A We will train a candidate with no experience but has a positive attitude and the aptitude for learning. Pay depends on experience. FULL TIME HOURS. We are looking forward to meeting you. ResponsibilitiesPerform multipoint inspectionsCommunicate additional service/repair needs to service advisorsInspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings and shacklesCheck tire pressureReplace oil and air filtersInspect all vehicles for additional repairsPatch tires (tire repair)Installs new tires and wheelsParticipates in training, follows safety procedures, job duties, and company policiesCome to work on timeQualificationsMust meet dealership’s requirements for employmentAbility to read/comprehend written instructions and informationFamiliarity with all aspects of automotive repair/maintenanceMust have a valid driver license and be able to operate manual transmissionsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsPhysical Requirements/Working ConditionsOccasional exposure to inclement weatherAbility to operate an automobileProlonged periods of standing, stooping and bendingExerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than 10 pounds of force constantly to move objectsRequires a significant amount of walking and/or standing. May also require working in the seated position for long periods while operating controls with arms and legs. This position may also require working at a production pace while pushing and/or pulling materials from place to place.Must be able to lift tires of all vehicles.
