Job Opportunity: Senior Radiation Oncology Medical PhysicistJoin a leading healthcare facility in Findlay Ohio as a Senior Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist. The practice hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.Job Responsibilities:Maintain and execute the Radiation Oncology Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Program.Implement manage and maintain all medical physics QA equipment ensuring preventive maintenance and routine calibrations.Coordinate with alternate physicists to ensure full clinic coverage.Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations related to medical physics.Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists Dosimetrists and Therapists to ensure safe and effective treatments.Administer and oversee all physics-related software systems.Perform daily monthly and annual QA testing on linear accelerators and treatment planning systems.Oversee dosimetry operations including plan reviews and quality assurance for each patient.Be present for all high-dose treatments as determined by the radiation oncologist.Conduct weekly patient chart reviews and maintain accurate documentation.Manage physics testing credentialing and protocol participation.Qualifications:Master of Science degree in Physics Biophysics Medical Physics or a related field - REQUIREDMinimum of 3 years of experience in medical physics - REQUIREDCertified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics - REQUIREDCertified Radiation Expert (CRE) certification through the state of Ohio - REQUIREDVisa candidates cannot be acceptedLicense and Certification Requirements:State License: Ohio - REQUIREDBoard Certified in Therapeutic Medical Physics - REQUIREDFindlay Ohio is a vibrant community known for its friendly atmosphere and welcoming spirit.
