JOB DESCRIPTION

One-On-One Care For Individual With Developmental Disabilities

We provide 24/7 residential care services that allow individuals with disabilities to remain in a home setting and meet their challenges of daily living activities with dignity, care, and compassion.

This ad is for a position providing one-on-one care for an individual with developmental disabilities.

Shifts Available:

Monday thru Friday: 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

Job Duties:

  • Monitors resident condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise.
  • Supports resident by providing housekeeping and laundry services; shopping for food and other household requirements; preparing and serving meals and snacks; running errands.
  • Assists resident by providing personal services, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Helps resident care for themselves by teaching the use of cane or walker, special utensils to eat, special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene.
  • Records resident information by making entries in logs; notifying the manager of changing or unusual conditions.
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy resident environment by following standards and procedures; maintaining security precautions; following prescribed dietary requirements and nutrition standards;
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Protects the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Enhances service reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Occasionally transporting resident to doctor's appointments and outings.
