Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary MedicineLocation: New Campus HUBOpen Date: Nov 26, 2025DescriptionReporting to the Department Chair and working closely with the Foundational Sciences Lead and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, the Anesthesia Faculty will: Create and deliver the anesthesia course in year 2 and participate in other clinically based, team-taught courses in the curriculum including activities in the surgery lab Assist in the development and delivery of the anesthesia rotation in the clinical curriculum Provide consultation services for cases seen by Clemson PCVM Veterinary Services. Aid in development of the Clemson PCVM lab and clinical case policies and procedures Develop assessment strategies in alignment with the overall competency-based curriculum Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure integration of knowledge and skills across years and courses Actively and effectively engage in student-centered instruction, coaching, and mentorship Serve on PCVM and campus committees as appointed or electedAdditionally, the faculty member must have the ability to: Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, possess exemplary verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and function independently with limited supervision and guidance Work in partnership with faculty and staff across multiple disciplines and functions across the college and university Participate in research and scholarship initiatives designed to improve educational and professional outcomesQualifications• DVM or equivalent• 3plus years of relevant experience in veterinary anesthesiaPreferred qualifications include:• Board certification or residency training in a veterinary specialty recognized by the ABVS (ACVAA, ECVAA, etc.)• Experience and a history of excellence in teaching anesthesiaApplication InstructionsApplications and nominations will be accepted until the position is filled.Interested parties must apply electronically in Interfolio:https://apply.interfolio.com/178372and submit a cover letter, resume, and contact information for three references by 01/12/26 to assure full consideration.For questions regarding this position, please email Dr. Jonathan Fogle at [email protected] more information and to apply, visit https://apply.interfolio.com/178372Clemson University is an EEO/AA employer.
