Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary MedicineLocation: New Campus HUBOpen Date: Nov 26, 2025DescriptionReporting to the Department Chair and working closely with the Foundational Sciences and Clinical Skills Lead, the Large Animal Internal Medicine Faculty will: Create and deliver the large animal medicine curriculum in the team-taught systems-based courses in the curriculum Develop assessment strategies in alignment with the overall competency-based curriculum Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure integration of knowledge and skills across years and courses Actively and effectively engage in student-centered instruction, coaching, and mentorship Collaborate closely with the Clemson University Ambulatory practice Serve on PCVM and campus committees as appointed or electedAdditionally, the faculty member must have the ability to: Emulate our PCVM cultural values including integrity, authenticity, respect, welcoming, trust and collaboration Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, possess exemplary verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and function independently with limited supervision and guidance Work in partnership with faculty and staff across multiple disciplines and functions across the college and university Participate in research and scholarship initiatives designed to improve educational and professional outcomes Demonstrate a commitment to the core values of Clemson University and specifically to community, engagement, belonging and accessibility (CEBA)Qualifications• DVM, PhD or equivalent• Board certification or residency training in a veterinary specialty recognized by the ABVS (ACVIM, ABVP, etc.)Preferred qualifications include:• 3 plus years of relevant experience in veterinary medicine or educationApplication InstructionsApplications and nominations will be accepted until the position is filled.
