Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary MedicineLocation: CVM HUB 303Open Date: Nov 26, 2025DescriptionReporting to the Department Chair, the Parasitology Faculty will: Teach parasitology in the pre-clinical years, including didactic and laboratory exercises and provide instruction during the clinical year via case based small group discussions and parasitology reviews (NAVLE prep) Engage in veterinary parasitology research, the percentage of which will be negotiated with the department chair Collaborate / integrate with the Eukaryotic Pathogens Innovation Center (EPIC) on campus Collaborate with the Animal and Veterinary Sciences (AVS) faculty on campus Service: discuss with department chair, percentages will vary based upon teaching and research commitmentsAdditionally, the faculty member must have the ability to: Emulate our PCVM cultural values including integrity, authenticity, respect, welcoming, trust and collaboration Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, possess exemplary verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and function independently with limited supervision and guidance Work in partnership with faculty and staff across multiple disciplines and functions across the college and university Participate in research and scholarship initiatives designed to improve educational and professional outcomes Demonstrate a commitment to the core values of Clemson University and specifically to community, engagement, belonging and accessibility (CEBA)Qualifications• DVM and / or PhD in parasitology or related fieldPreferred qualifications include:• Board certification or residency training in a veterinary specialty recognized by the ABVS (ACVIM, ABVP, etc.)• 3plus years of relevant experience in veterinary medicine or educationApplication InstructionsApplications will be accepted until the position is filled.
