Job Description SummaryThe Operational Finance Analyst will support the Enabling Functions finance leader and functional counterparts to support activities and priorities of certain Corporate HQ functional leaders. The candidate will be accountable for supporting the finance activities for the cost attributable for their functions with direct support for the central Vernova Corporate team and strategic influence of this function. Key activities include cost visibility budgeting forecasting planning closing and reporting as well as partnering on strategic initiatives to optimize costs for GEV HQ.The role will report into the Corporate HQ Enabling Functions & Consulting Services Finance ManagerJob DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:Partner with functional leaders to coordinate and drive the execution of finance activities including quarterly / yearly budget planning forecasting pacing close and reporting activities and other ad-hoc requests. Prepare detailed variance analysis and manage the gap between actuals and budget.Partner with HQ finance team to drive standard work around cost reporting. Identifyfinancial & utilization trends highlightrisk and opportunitiesand drive data-based business decisions.Supportmonthly/quarterly closing process with FP&A and Controllership andmaintainstrong controllership partnership in all aspects of financial operations to ensure compliance with internal controls procedures and minimize risk.Support efforts to implement standard work around finance processes and continuous improvement projects through lean methodologies tools and concepts.Support the Vernova Corporate HQ FP&A group with the overall consolidation reporting analytics and insights of the Vernova Corporate segment financials including actuals pacing budgets and long-range forecasts.Refine standard reporting and forecasting packages leveraging enterprise-wide systems (e.g. Workiva) where appropriateRequired QualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent knowledge or experience inAccounting or FinanceSome experience and progressive responsibility in FP&A Controllership or Cost ManagementDesired CharacteristicsBachelors degree or equivalent knowledge or experience inAccounting or FinanceExperience in Corporate operations finance or FP&A including expertise in Corporate financial systemsExperience and progressive responsibility in FP&A or Cost ManagementExperience establishing and refining processes for optimization including using new technology and developing standard work.Additional InformationGE Vernova offers a great work environment professional development challenging careers and competitive compensation. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
