Applicants please note that this role has a projected start date in July 2026Heres what youll be doing:The Director of School Operations is the schools leader of operations. The DSO manages and is responsible for all non-instructional systems and staff allocated to the school and is required to be on-site daily.People Management   Manage the school operations staff and all other school support team members on the operations teamImplement and execute a performance management system for direct reportsConduct weekly individual meetings and team meetingsProvide professional development Finance and Purchasing          Develop and manage the schools budgetConducts monthly financial review meetings with each school leader highlighting the budget to actual performance year to date and a forecast for the yearMakes budget management recommendations to SL so that resources are allocated according to the schools mission and visionManages all aspects of day-to-day financial operations in compliance with fiscal policies & proceduresOversee purchasing for the schoolExecutes compensation changes and stipend assignments and requestsAudits the monthly compensation reportsAttendance Ensures strong attendance processes and systems are in place and intervenes as necessary to ensure that ADA goals are metEnsures that 100% of absent students receive a call dailyOversees the attendance intervention and truancy process to make sure that attendance concerns are addressed early and oftenHelps to coordinate with the student support team and school leadership to address chronic absenteeismProvides coaching accountability and feedback on weekly attendance meetings with leadership team membersAcademic Support Operations Manage the operational logistics of all student test administration in coordination with school leadership and/or teaching staffStudent Recruitment / Enrollment       Ensure the school meets annual enrollment targets by backwards planning from target enrollment numbers and dates and maintains enrollment targets over the course of the yearPlan events and outreach to familiesEstablish partnerships with local businesses and organizationsEnsures 100% enrollment on the first day of school and backfills to the schools enrollment targets over the course of the yearEnsures 100% completion of registration documents by the first day of schoolImplement systems and training for school-based staff to support recruitment and enrollment effortsEnsures that family engagement events are planned and effectively implemented including but not limited to spring events summer events Welcome Meetings and Orientation/Back to School NightsEnsures schools are in partnership with the region coordinating/planning/executing open houses and school tours Implements processes to prevent student attrition and manages accountability for family follow-ups to prevent a student from withdrawing Manage and monitor key metrics like enrollment numbers conversion and persistence and problem-solve to adjust practices in response to dataIn partnership with the region advertises supports and manages teammates to maintain social media content for the schoolTechnology      Oversee day-to-day operations of school-based technology projects by ensuring that school leaders students and staff have access to the technology they needManage tier 1 response to the technology ticketing system Plan any technology-related enhancements or additional purchases for the subsequent school year Event Planning Serve as the logistics and events planning expert at the school. Drive event management including but not limited to report card conference night field trips student celebrations and family engagement eventsCommunity Partnership Provides point of contact and support for wrap-around school services including but not limited to vision health screenings dental and other community service providersProvides a point of contact and support of development and advocacy effortsProvides point of contact and support for other community partnership work including but not limited to volunteer days donations etc.Manage day-to-day processes and execution of after-school programs and clubs and provide feedback to program leaders  Pilot initiatives to track family engagement and participation as well as responding to family feedbackCompliance     Ensure school-wide compliance with health and safety lawsEnsure onboarding requirements for new staff members are completedComply with any city and state education mandatesComply with all federal and state workplace regulations School OperationsEnsure the day-to-day school operating systems run smoothly and efficiently including front office systems transportation routines transitions arrival and dismissal and collaborate with school leadership to ensure that these systems meet the vision of excellence Ensures that the school meets safety requirementsEnsures that: every room has an exit plan and emergency binder with student class lists the school has an exit route for drills and  the school has a reliable safety plan documentedMakes staff aware of relevant emergency protocols and oversees that an appropriate number of staff members are trained in safety procedures (i.e. CPR) and that reports are filed for any accidents/incidentsQualifications : Must Haves:Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically ExcelDatabase management and reportingStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsStrong organization skills and meticulous attention to detailSuperb customer service skills and love and support for families and childrenDemonstrated ability to work with a team on experience directly managing others Previous experience in a customer service-oriented rolePrevious experience in an educational or non-profit settingAdditional Information : Compensation & BenefitsThe salary range for this role is $90000 - $150000 commensurate with experience.KIPP Miami offers a full comprehensive benefits plan including health care competitive 403(B) plan and a school
