Today Shelter House is a successful and reputable organization of over 100 employees committed to preventing and ending homelessness and domestic the last year our compassionate team of individuals changed the lives ofnearly 2000individuals half of which were children. Our Culture is built from our Core Values of Inclusivity Collaboration Accountability Respect and Empowerment (iC.A.R.E.)Summary of Position:TheOperations ManagersupervisestheMaintenance andCustodialTechnicianandthe Residential Coordinators (full-time part-time on-call). TheOperations Managerhas both direct service and administrative responsibilities withinMondloch House and Mondloch Managerwill hiretrainand developcustodial and residential staff toensure that program policies are Manager willalso collaborate with other program staff to ensure client services are delivered following program goals andin accordance withall applicable laws and managesomebill payment vehicle fleet and vendor contactin regards tothe building.Duties and Responsibilities:Through supervision of the Residential Coordinators:Coordinate with the director to ensure essential personnel are in place during safety/ weather emergenciesMaintain a flexibles schedule in response to the needs of the shelter and serve in an on-call capacity to help staff address crisis issuesThrough supervision of theMaintenance andCustodial Technician:Assistwith facilities maintenance and report repair needsMaintain current knowledge of emergency procedures andfacilitateinconducting monthly fire drillsOversee the management of contracted cleaning agencyPrepare check requests for any pertinent bills and invoices that relate to operations and the building.General Responsibilities:Preparescheduleas well as approvetimesheets.Overseeroominspections.Facilitate regularly scheduledone on onemeetings with all direct reportsEnsure agency vehicles aremaintainedand meet state license and registration requirements.Participate inthe interviewingofbuilding and residential staff.Oversee trainingofall direct reports and manage performance appraisals and documentation.Complete and review documentation ensuringaccurate/professional completionin accordance withagency and best standard practice including logs case notes incident reports etc.Ensure compliance with all agency policies county buildingsafetyand inspectionrequirements (to include but not limited to fire marshal and health department building requirements and inspections)Maintain compliance with TB testing per agency protocolProficientlyutilizeMicrosoft Suite of Applications(email calendar drive docsetc) as a part of theday to daywork requirementsSafelyutilizeShelter House owned vehicles to drive clients to various locations.Cover shifts on short notice if no other coverage options are secured.Serve as emergency personnel and must report to work as scheduled regardless of circumstances if no other coverage options are secured (inclement weather highway congestionetc)Provide excellent customer service to families served and adhere to Shelter Houses Core Values when dealing with issues and concerns.Exemplify the Shelter House corevalues;InclusionCollaboration Accountability Respect and EmpowermentOther duties as assignedQualifications:Required:A bachelors degree in human services and/or operation business management or equivalent degree and/orcommensurateexperience3 years of program and/or staff managementStrong public speaking and communication skillsStrong written communication skillsAbility to prioritize competing priorities and make sound judgmentsValid Drivers LicenseWillingness to work occasional evenings and weekendsPreferred:Experience leading/ supporting programs serving homeless familiesExperience leading/managing in a residential environmentAbility to speak a second language at a proficient levelPhysical Requirements:Annual TB Test isrequiredAbility to sit or stand forlong periodsAbility to lift itemsweighing10-20 poundsBenefits:Medical Dental & Vision Insurance401K contributions with a 4% employer match13 Paid Holidays 2 Floating Holidays and the opportunity to take your Birthday OffTwo Semi-Annual Team Building EventsEqual Employment Opportunity:Equal Employment Opportunity Policy: Shelter House is committed toprovidingequal employmentopportunityto all employees and applicants.
