Operations Manager at MTM

What Will Your Job Look LikeThe Manager Operations will play a key role in the management training and development of staff and implementation of short and long-term strategic processes. The Manager Operations will oversee all aspects of the operations staff primarily the drivers maintenance and dispatch staff to ensure that the daily operations and needs of the client are effective efficient and are completed based on contractual requirements. The Manager Operations will strive to ensure the safest and highest quality transportation experience for our passengers while operating within the budget of the contract.This position is contingent upon the award of contract.Location: Springfield MAWhat youll do:Oversight of Drivers Dispatchers and operations employees and their daily performance to ensure safe efficient effective operation including scheduling expenditures attendance and disciplinePerform monthly Safety meetingsTraining retraining and updates to policies procedures and safety guidelinesPerform Driver evaluations as required by contract as well as ADA DOT and FTA requirementsCommunicate regularly with client to ensure positive productive relationship and to assist them with updates information and system upgrades as neededPerform additional duties as assigned or requiredMonitor performance of direct reports and provide coaching and guidanceWhat youll need: Experience Education & Certifications:Bachelors Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a related field3 years of experience in paratransit managementPrevious experience working with senior citizens or persons with disabilitiesExperience supervising hourly personnel in a passenger transportation environmentExperience training in a classroom and behind the wheel settingMust possess a valid drivers licenseSkills:Strong problem solving skillsAbility to understand and administer disciplineKnowledge of basic safety and training proceduresMap reading two-way radio communication and driving experience preferably in a demand responsive service environmentCapabilities as it relates to data analytics preferredThorough knowledge of ADA DOT FTA regulations preferredAbility to maintain high level of confidentialityRegular attendance is requiredEven better if you have...Previous management experience in a union environment preferredExperience at a like size location (100 operators) preferredWhats in it for you: Health and Life Insurance PlansDental and Vision Plans401(k) with a company matchPaid Time Off and Holiday PayMaternity/Paternity LeaveCasual Dress EnvironmentTuition ReimbursementMTM Perks Discount Program Leadership Mentoring Opportunities Minium Salary: $65440/annuallyMaximum Salary: $98160/annuallyThis information reflects the base salary pay range for this job based on current national market data.
