Operations Specialist II

Our client, a leading organization in the energy sector, is seeking a Operations Specialist II to join their team. As a Operations Specialist II, you will be part of the Gas Power Engineering Technical Learning Office supporting onboarding, training, and operational excellence initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Schenectady, NY

What's the Job?

  • Coordinate and execute onboarding processes for new hires, contractors, and program participants to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Support systems access setup, equipment coordination, and technical support for new employees and stakeholders.
  • Plan and organize orientation sessions, onboarding events, and related learning experiences to foster engagement and learning.
  • Assist with early career program support, including communication, logistics, and participant readiness activities.
  • Manage training logistics, including room bookings, materials, supplies, and event coordination to ensure successful delivery of learning programs.

What's Needed?

  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple onboarding and event coordination tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and new hires.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, training, or administrative operations in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to coordinate logistics, manage schedules, and support event execution with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with systems such as Microsoft Office, and familiarity with tools like Smartsheet, Box, and other onboarding-related platforms is preferred.
