Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond What You Will Do:East Hartford Repair Operations (EHRO) has an opportunity for a Cell Leader (M2) within the Connecticut Rotating Parts (CTRP) organization. As the CTRP Cell Leader the incumbent will lead a team of shop floor inspectors and operators on second shift. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the shop floor within the assigned cell a. This role has ownership over areas that drive success of the entire shop within the CTRP business. Successful candidates in this role enjoy working with their hands in a dynamic machine shop environment and solving complex problems daily.The person in this role reports to the Operations Manager at CTRP and will be supporting 2nd shift operations. Typical working hours are generally 3:00PM 12:00AM Monday Friday. Training is available and may be required on our 1st shift for up to 6 months.Key Responsibilities:Lead assigned cell where 100% of CTRP parts flow to be inspected and processed through repair.Establish processes to support part prioritization & flow through shop and create lasting success for the assigned cell in support of home cell targets of Quality Cost and DeliveryCoach and Train the employees of the assigned cell to grow their technical and lean manufacturing skillsManage projects and lead the assigned cell using lean manufacturing and quality improvement effortsPartner with the Engineering team on the assigned cell to build a world class business by implementing robust processes that can weather the dynamic aftermarket environmentIdentify opportunities to introduce innovative technologies update legacy processes and improve the safety of our employees in a high-risk areaCoordinate with Operations Engineering Materials and Facilities Teams across EHRO & East Hartford in order to drive production and reduce product turnaround timeDrive execution of tasks related to Compliance & Safety of operationsQualifications You Must Have:Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience in Military Manufacturing Business Operations Management Engineering Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Associates degree and 4 years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 6 years of relevant industry experienceQualifications We Prefer:Degree in STEM field; Engineering Business or Supply Chain.Personnel management experience particularly within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment.Proven ability to lead mentoring coaching developing talent and motivate teams to achieve business goals.Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experienceAbility to read and interpret technical data blueprints and engineering drawings.Organizational and project management skills PMP certification preferred.Working knowledge of shop practices quality standards processes and proceduresUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma QCPC and RCCA).Experience using Microsoft Office SAP MRP materials management and MS Office Suite.Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management shop personnel and customersWhat is my Role TypeIn addition to transforming the future of flight we are also transforming how and where we work. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
