Job Description
Work Shift:Night - 8 Hour (United States of America)Receives and relays incoming and outgoing telephone calls for hospital using a multiple position telephone switchboard. Pages all emergency notifications including cardiac arrests and rapid responses and maintains the official hospital log. Monitors emergency radio alarms fire panels and contacts security/engineering when trouble occurs. Pages and beeps hospital staff members.II. Qualifications:A. Education & Training:High School graduate or GED equivalent. B. Experience:One (1) year as switchboard operator or phone customer service.C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:None.D. Knowledge Skills & Abilities:Basic knowledge of multiple position telephone switchboard; computer; alarm systems. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Possess good telephone voice quality clarity and etiquette. Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
