South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) is seeking:
Comprehensive Ophthalmologist
Glaucoma Specialist
to join our dynamic team of 10 ophthalmologists in beautiful San Antonio, Texas!


About the Role

  • Busy clinical and surgical practices
  • Responsibilities include clinical care and resident supervision in outpatient and OR settings.
  • Affiliated with UT Health Science Center San Antonio and Department of Defense Ophthalmology Residency Program
  • Work at our state-of-the-art Northwest Health Care Center (opened April 2022)

Our Facilities

  • 19 exam lanes, 2 procedure suites
  • Advanced imaging: IOLMaster 700, Humphrey Visual Fields, CIRRUS OCT, ultra-wide fundus cameras, Eye Cubed ultrasound
  • Zeiss Forum imaging management system
  • Adjacent Ambulatory Surgery Center with 3 dedicated eye ORs for cataract, glaucoma, cornea, retina & oculoplastic surgeries
  • Glaucoma specialists can perform cataract surgeries, incisional glaucoma surgeries, and the latest MIGS (iStent, KDB, Xen, Omni, MicroPulse)

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Current unrestricted state medical license
  • Residency trained
