Job Title: OPS Program Coordinator, Part-Time Location: Tallahassee, FL Regular/Temporary: Temporary Full/Part Time: Job ID: 61715 Department Florida State University (FSU) seeks to fill a part-time position of a Program Coordinator in the newly established FSU Quantum Initiative (https://quantum.fsu.edu). The mission of FSU Quantum is to accelerate the discovery of novel quantum phenomena that can impact the design of engineered systems for quantum information processing, communication, sensing, and algorithms, as well as devices and hardware that rely on quantum protocols. The FSU Quantum involves 25 faculty members and about 50 junior researchers from five participating departments and two colleges.Responsibilities The Program Coordinator is expected to facilitate FSU Quantum activities by helping to conduct faculty searches, advertise and administer postdoctoral and graduate student fellowships, develop disciplinary educational certificates, plan and organize programmatic seminars and symposia, monitor funding opportunities, interface with FSU Quantum partners, and regularly update information on the website.Qualifications Minimum qualifications include possessing a B.S. or B.A. degree and having strong organizational skills, including the ability to file documentation, maintain email communication with participants and partners, and track commitments and deadlines as relevant to various activities of the center.Preferred Qualifications Experience with assisting in program coordination or similar enterprise is preferredContact Info Cassidy Cooksey at [email protected] Information One of the nation's elite research universities, Florida State University preserves, expands, and disseminates knowledge in the sciences, technology, arts, humanities, and professions, while embracing a philosophy of learning strongly rooted in the traditions of the liberal arts and critical thinking.
