Classification Title:OPS Small Animal Hospital HousekeeperClassification Minimum RequirementsMust have the ability to work evenings and weekends.Job Description:The focus of hospital cleanliness is to provide an uncompromising level of cleanliness throughout the facilities while creating a safe and accident-free environment. This will ensure the ability to maintain a productive organized service in preparation to attend to clients and patients as well as preventing infection and cross contamination. The overall aesthetics of the hospital is a direct reflection on the high-quality care we provide so it is important the areas are kept in pristine condition. Areas to maintain include designated department/service treatment rooms and exams rooms along with communal areas when needed.Examples include but are not limited to:Sweeping and mopping floors daily and as neededTaking out trash and recyclables as neededEnsuring cages and runs including drains grates and doors are cleaned daily and as neededProcessing laundry as neededDisinfecting and cleaning equipment regularlyMaintaining equipment within the hospital as applicable to this position and reporting broken or malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate managerReporting broken or malfunctioning infrastructure to the appropriate manager and requesting work orders as directedMaintaining inventory and replenishing stock on a regular basisChecking supply expiration dates as neededPracticing appropriate infection control measures in cleaning areas under the positions purview when biohazardous areas are presented.Expected Salary:Starting salary is $15 per hourRequired qualificationsMust have the ability to work evenings and weekends.Special Instructions to Applicants:In order to be considered you must upload your cover letter and resume.Application must be submitted by 11:55 p.m. (ET) of the posting end date.This is a time-limited position.Health Assessment Required:Yes; Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs bend kneel pull push twist and stand for an extended period of time.
