Accountable for the assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care during intraoperative period. Primary Responsibilities:Participates and maintains a culture within The Corvallis Clinic that is consistent with the content outlined in the Service and Behavioral Standards as stated in the Policy and Procedures. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles contained withinAssesses patient status during pre-op interview, and on a continuing basisProvides safe, therapeutic quality care to patients by utilizing the nursing process and nursing diagnosis in a timely manner and by setting appropriate priorities. Documents interventions and patient's responsesEnsures provision of patient care in an organized and timely mannerUtilizes nursing care standards when planning and implementing patient careCommunicates appropriate information regarding patient conditions to those who require the information including, surgeons, anesthesia, management and other staffSafely carries out physician's orders correctly and promptly, documenting all activities.Assist Anesthesia staff as neededDisplays an understanding of each patient's cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturity in assessments, treatment and careParticipate in the orientation and training of new employeesMaintains competencies to function in RN role within specific areaProtect sedated and anesthetized patients by identifying safety hazards such as electrical, equipment, pressure points and by minimizing exposure to maintain privacy and body temperatureExpertise in safety principles, asepsis, sterile technique and universal precautionsAssesses, anticipates and implements appropriate care throughout the surgical process.Other duties as assigned You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursingCurrent unencumbered State of Oregon license as a Registered NurseCurrent CPR certification, ACLS or ability to obtain ACLS within six (6) months of hire dateCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire1+ years of OR experience Preferred Qualifications:Certified Perioperative NursePALS certification1+ years of experience in an acute care hospitalMultispecialty experienceComplete knowledge and understanding of peri-operative nursing care in the freestanding ambulatory surgery centerEvidence of working knowledge of the nursing processKnowledge of basic clinical skills to provide patient careProven ability to manage emergency situations in a calm and confident mannerDemonstrated flexibility and leadership with unscheduled procedure changesProven to organize, prioritize, delegate and assign duties to non-licensed personnelProven to maintain skills in equipment usage and troubleshootingProven ability to work well with providers, clinical staff and patientsProven ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of workProven adhere to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for confidentiality, Infection Control, Safety (OSHA), Attendance, Personal Electronic Equipment, Punctuality and Personal AppearanceProven to participates in Quality Improvement activities including identification of opportunities for cost reductions and efficiencies Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $34.23 to $61.15 per hour based on full-time employment.
