Kforce s client is seeking a Senior Oracle/SQL Database Administrator (DBA) for a 12-month opportunity. This fully onsite role Monday-Friday in Irving TX. Summary: This person will serve as the sole DBA on the team responsible for maintaining and optimizing mission-critical databases primarily Oracle (v19) and some SQL Server (2019 upgrading to 2022). This role includes on-call support for emergency issues and monthly after-hours release cycles. This position is 80% DBA work and 20% project coordination working closely with a dedicated PM and development manager. The DBA will be expected to operate independently identify opportunities solve problems and maintain a high level of caution and attention to detail. Required Skills : * 5 years of experience supporting Oracle databases on Linux and Windows * 5 years of experience with Exadata RMAN OEM and Shell scripting * 5 years of experience with Oracle Data Guard * 2 years of experience supporting SQL Server databases * Proven project coordination or management experience Technical Skills: * Expert-level proficiency in Oracle Data Guard * Strong RMAN experience * Oracle PL/SQL scripting * SQL profiling and index tuning * Backup and disaster recovery strategies Soft Skills: * Highly detail-oriented and cautious * Flexible and collaborative team player * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities * Excellent communication and documentation skills Other Requirements: * Must be available for on-call emergencies and scheduled after-hours releases * Must be able to work independently as the sole DBA * Visa sponsorship is not available for this position Basic Qualification : Additional Skills : Background Check : No Drug Screen : No Rank :A3 Requested Date : Key Skills Administration And Accounting,Events,ERP Sales,Access Control,Autocad Design,Inventory Management Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
