Job Details Entry RO Pennington - Pennington NJ RO Bordentown - Bordentown NJ Full Time $16.00 - $22.00 Hourly Day ShiftDescription Job Summary: The Orthotics Technician is a trained member of the orthopaedic team who works with all health care professionals in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibilities concerning all surgical and non-surgical procedures.Pay: $16.00/hr - $22.00/hr* *Suggested rate will be based on years of direct relevant experienceSchedule:Mon - Fri: 7:30am - 4:30pmTotal Hours per Week: 40Start Date: as soon as possible (typically two weeks from offer)End Date: May 1st 2026 (could extend longer)Key Accountabilities:Excellence in customer service proficient in insurance verification / authorization and maintenance of patient records. Organizational skills required to maintain schedules return phone calls and maintain stock.Essential Duties: Greets patient informs prepares and positions patient for procedure. Provides patient and family education.Conducts clinical interview of patients and assesses needs according to Physicians prescription. Read specifications to determine the type of device to be fabricated and the materials and tools that will be required.Applies or removes casts/splints.Make orthotic devices by bending forming and shaping materials to prescribed specifications. Fit test and evaluate devices on patients and make adjustments for proper fit function and comfort.Provides patient with insurance information and financial responsibility information. Completes work orders billing and notes for patients. Verifies benefits completes pre-certification and documents in patient record.Triages patient by telephone and communicates patients needs to certified practitioner or Physician.Maintains cast room and orders stock inventory.Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.Minimum Requirements:High School diploma or GED minimum education requirement6 months of experience with casting bracing and/or splintingMust have experience/knowledge of prior authorization/pre-certification experienceMust have intermediate computer skills (EMR system(s) MS Office web browser navigating multiple tabs dual monitors etc.)Our Commitment to Employees: Come work at Rothman Orthopaedics!
