Management Support Specialist
Position Overview
This role will focus on patient outreach, appointment scheduling, and assisting with population health initiatives aimed at improving patient engagement, reducing missed appointments, and helping close gaps in preventive care.
The position will primarily be performed remotely (approximately 80% of the time), with occasional on-site support for coordination, training, or outreach-related activities as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
Patient Outreach & Scheduling
• Conduct outbound calls to patients from outreach lists, including HEDIS care gap lists, No Show reports, and Cancellation lists
• Assist patients with scheduling or rescheduling medical appointments
• Provide reminders and encourage patients to complete recommended preventive care services
Enhanced Care Management (ECM) Support
• Assist staff with patient outreach and engagement efforts
• Help connect eligible patients to care management services
• Conduct follow-up communication with patients as directed by staff
Outreach Program Support
• Assist the Outreach Department with patient engagement initiatives and outreach campaigns
• Support efforts to increase preventive care visits, screenings, and patient participation in services
• Help with reminder calls, follow-up communication, and patient education messaging
Administrative & Data Support
• Work from reports and spreadsheets generated by clinic staff to track outreach efforts
• Document call outcomes and patient responses as instructed
• Assist with outreach mailings or communication campaigns as needed
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in healthcare administration, medical office support, call center operations, or public health outreach
• Strong phone communication and customer service skills
• Experience conducting outbound patient outreach calls
• Experience using NextGen Electronic Health Record (EHR) system preferred
• Familiarity with patient scheduling systems and electronic medical records
• Basic computer skills and ability to work from spreadsheets or outreach lists
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote environment

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $23.00 - $26.00
